[Wide]Band is an exploration of a continuous surface of transforming materials in a 600-square foot installation that encourages and requires guests to interact with one another while negotiating the space. The name is inspired by both the physical presence of the installation and by the broadband technology that supports the wireless internet access provided. As the surface loops around itself - creating floors, walls, and ceilings – users are drawn to the long table that punctuates the interior space of the loop where they can socialize, eat, or check their email. The space that contains the installation is emblazoned with “[Wide]Band” in nine foot tall letters, whose affect shifts from legible to abstractly graphic as one moves through the installation.
Interior Architecture discipline is acknowledged as new approach to addressing unhealthy living ennvironment; its constantly evolving response to meet human physical and psychological needs. As such, the speed and flexibility in human response demand an equally adaptable set of analytical tools, design approaches and production methods.
Also, Interior Architect could redefined as a space Psychologist. I truly believes that Interior Architecture has the power to transform, to heal,to teach, to inspire and to unite. The design of
interior spaces in a building may depend on the architectural aspect and its having a powerful impact on the level of well being, social
interaction and collaboration within a community of living environment. Unconsciously, we are also in helping to shape one's behavior, minds and
perceptions bringing out new connections and contrasts; organising and re-organising experience and thus making and re-making our world to build better future integrated with sustainable living, play and working environment.
